At Solar Eye Care, we prioritize your well-being over sales. Unlike many clinics, our doctors and staff do not earn commissions on eyewear or contact lenses. This ensures that our recommendations are always unbiased and focused on your health, not on making a sale. If your prescription hasn’t changed, we’ll tell you. We’ll always provide a copy of your prescription, and if you choose to purchase eyewear, Costco offers a 90-day return and exchange policy for added peace of mind. While we operate independently, we work closely with Costco Optical to assist with troubleshooting and ensure a seamless experience.

At Solar Eye Care, we utilize Optos—an advanced imaging technology that captures up to 82% of the retina in a single image, compared to only 15% with standard retinal photography. This wide-field view allows for earlier detection and more accurate monitoring of potentially vision-threatening eye diseases, as well as systemic conditions that can affect your overall health. Best of all, this 1 second scan is harmless, comfortable, and no dilation drops.

Capable of detecting: retinal detachment, macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetes, stroke, cancer, infectious, auto-immune, inflammatory, and genetic disease, medication side effects and more.

3D Retinal, Optic Nerve and Corneal Tomography

OCT: High-Resolution Imaging for Early and Accurate Diagnosis

Our Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) system provides detailed, 3D cross-sectional images of the eye’s internal structures—much like how an MRI captures images of the body. This advanced imaging allows us to visualize and measure the layers of the retina with remarkable precision. OCT is considered the gold standard for diagnosing and managing serious eye conditions such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and other retinal disorders.
