Optos is a revolutionary imaging technique which captures up to 82% of the retina vs 15% on the standard retinal photo, without dilation drops. This leads to earlier detection and treatment of possible life altering eye disease and other conditions in the body with more precise long term monitoring.
Capable of detecting: retinal detachment, macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetes, stroke, cancer, infectious, auto-immune, inflammatory, and genetic disease, medication side effects and more.
3D Retinal, Optic Nerve and Corneal Tomography
Our Optical Coherence Tomographer (OCT) allows us to capture 3D cross-sectional data to visualize and quantify the layers of the eye, similar to how an MRI can for the body. This is the highest standard of care for diagnosing and managing diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes and most retinal conditions. This imaging and all follow ups are covered by Alberta Health when indicated.
